There is always more going on than what meets the eye, whether below the surface of the forest soil, underneath the ocean’s waves, or in the mind behind a person’s smile. This body of work is an exploration and expression of the experience of chaos – the chaos that exists beneath the surface, invisible to an outsider’s eye. Contained in their presentation, on traditional substrate formats, the work furthermore explores the tension between chaos, conventional systems and the ongoing challenges for chaotic energy to be contained within norms or restrictions.
