Workshop: Experimental Works on Paper

Paper is a stunning medium to work on and you will go home with a number of works ready to frame. Over four weeks we explore how using everyday objects can be a tool to create inspiring shapes, compositions and marks on paper. Things around us that we usually consider useless can be used to enrich our art in many ways. We will create prints (collagraphs) with some of these items and develop the artworks through stamping, mark making and mixed media techniques, creating stunning works on paper.
We will be printing without a printing press, so you can use these techniques at home/in your studio with ease, still creating stunning results. The classes are experimental and fun and the focus will be on creative experimentation. The approach allows for your creativity to run free, have fun in the process and use the outcome as inspiration for your continuous art practice.
Only a small group of maximum 6 participants ensures plenty of individual attention and guidance.
